Rupali Ganguly, who shot to fame with her character Monisha in “Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai” and is now known for playing the lead role in the popular TV show “Anupamaa”, recently made a shocking revelation in a podcast interview. The actress confessed that she was initially unsure if she would be cast in the show due to her past unprofessional behavior on the sets of a show she had worked on with the producer, Rajan Shahi.
Speaking on “The Ranveer Show” podcast, Rupali revealed that she had worked with Rajan on her first show, “Dil Hai Ke Maanta Nahi” in 2000, where he was the director. She admitted to being misbehaved and unprofessional at the time, as she was new to the TV industry and had a lot to learn. However, despite her past behavior, Rajan decided to cast her in “Anupamaa” after asking her if she had grown up since then.
Rupali also shared that she didn’t know the name of the show until the trailer was released, but was immediately connected to the character when she learned about it. She said that she respects Rajan a lot and is grateful for the opportunity to play Anupamaa.
The current track of the show sees Anupamaa and Anuj parting ways after she lets their daughter go with her biological mother, Maya. The emotional storyline has been keeping audiences hooked and has contributed to the show’s continued success.
