Vahbiz Dorabjee on Bold Scenes in OTT Shows: “Not Suitable for Family Viewing

Vahbiz Dorabjee is a well-known Indian television actress who has appeared in several popular shows such as Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahani, Savitri, Saraswatichandra, and Bahu Hamari Rajnikant. She is known for being very selective about her work and believes in doing multiple things.

Recently, Vahbiz expressed her interest in doing a web show on OTT in the near future. However, the actress also shared her thoughts on the unnecessary bold scenes that are being incorporated in web shows these days.

The Need for Censorship in OTT Shows

Vahbiz believes that there is a need for censorship in OTT shows that use bold scenes to attract a huge audience. According to her, such scenes can make it embarrassing for a person to watch such shows with their family. While she understands that such scenes could be a selling point for some shows, she feels that it is going too far. Vahbiz thinks that if the story requires it, then it is fine. But when it is done just to attract a huge audience, it is not good from a creative aspect as well as for the family.

Vahbiz on Doing Bold Scenes

When asked about doing bold scenes, Vahbiz stated that she wouldn’t be open to doing too many bold scenes. However, if it’s aesthetic and necessary for the script, she can give it a thought. She feels that it depends on how aesthetically such scenes are done. If it is necessary for the script, then she might consider it. But there are many shows where such scenes are not necessary, yet they are incorporated just to seek attention, which she feels is not appropriate.

Vahbiz’s Interest in Doing Web Shows

Vahbiz has expressed her desire to do web shows on OTT in the near future. According to her, she is open to any medium as long as she is getting creative satisfaction. She is actively looking for good projects on OTT and hopes to be a part of one soon.
