NewJeans Reaches New Heights with 1 Billion Streams on Spotify for Latest Album

NewJeans, a rookie K-pop girl group, has achieved a remarkable milestone by surpassing one billion combined streams on Spotify. The group’s management agency, ADOR, confirmed this on Thursday, stating that the group has recorded 107,788,873 streams on the global music streaming service as of Tuesday, thanks to their six songs that have been released since their debut in August.

The quintet’s latest songs have collected streams faster than their previous ones, according to the agency. For example, it took 186 days for “Hype Boy,” one of the group’s debut singles, to reach 200 million streams, but “Ditto,” released in December, achieved this in just 68 days.

NewJeans is expected to have all of its songs streamed more than 100 million times soon, as “Hurt,” a track from the band’s debut album “New Jeans,” is on course to hit the milestone. This achievement highlights the group’s growing popularity and the increasing global recognition of K-pop music.
