NCB seeks cancellation of Bharti Singh & Haarsh Limbachiyaa’s bail in drugs case
Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Wednesday approached a special NDPS court and filed a petition seeking the cancellation of comedian Bharti Singh and her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa’s bail in drug nexus case. The agency has also urged the court to allow custodial interrogation of the couple by setting aside the lower court’s order.
Now, the court has sent a notice to the couple and the next hearing in the case is likely to take place next week. Further, reports suggest that NCB has suspended two officers linked to the ongoing Bollywood-linked drug syndicate.
One of them had been investigating the recent case of Bharti and Haarsh. The action was prompted by their failure to appear for the healing in their bail application. Meanwhile, Showik Chakraborty, brother of Rhea Chakraborty was finally granted bail on Wednesday, December 2 by a special narcotics court in Mumbai.
