CBI to check CCTV of Sushant Singh Rajput’s building for ‘tampering’

A Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team which arrived in Mumbai on Thursday evening began its probe into the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput on Friday. Notably, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has exempted the CBI team from home quarantine. Earlier this month.

The BMC had quarantined Bihar IPS officer Vinay Tiwari upon his arrival in Mumbai in connection with the investigation in the actor’s death case. “They are on official duty and sought an exemption from quarantine norms. They have been given exemption from the home quarantine rule.” said a BMC official, CBI team in Mumbai.

A news agency has mentioned a source as saying that the CBI will study the call detail record of at least one week of the area where Sushant’s building was located.”The CDR of every person whose numbers were active in the building area will be examined and they will be studied by the CBI, said the source.

The CBI team will collect the. CCTV footage from the Bandra apartment where Sushant was found dead. The agency will also determine whether the camera recording was “tampered” with on June 14 or if there were any “technical glitches”.

The CBI will record the statement of the Deputy Commissioner of Police Paramjit Singh Dahiya. In a related development, the. Enforcement Directorate (ED) today recorded the statement of Priyanka.one of the sisters of Sushant Singh Rajput. Priyanka is a ‘trustee’ of the funds of Sushant.

Sources have said that the. CBI team has got the digital video recording of Sushant’s apartment to investigate the ‘CCTV tampering’ angle. It will now be sent for forensic examination.

The CBI has collected the case diary of the ADR, Sushant’s three mobile phones and a laptop, and other important documents from the Mumbai Police. The green cloth which was allegedly used by Sushant to hang himself has also been submitted to the CBI.

The CBI team has split into two teams. While SP Anil Yadav is leading one team which will examine the police case file. SP Nupur Yadav is supervising another team that will carry out forensic analysis. After visiting the office of D.C.P Zone 9 Abhishek

A CBI team has recorded the statement of Sushant’s cook Neeraj Singh at the DRDO and IAF guest house in Mumbai’s Santa Cruz. where the visiting probe team members are staying. This is to be underlined that Neeraj was one of the three people who were at Sushant’s home when the actor was found dead on June 14.

A CBI team visited Deputy Commissioner of Police Abhishek Trimukhe who was handling the high-profile case. A special investigation team of the CBI arrived in Mumbai, a day after the Supreme Court paved the way for the agency to probe into Sushant’s death.
