Akshay Kumar,Katrina Kaif starrer Sooryavanshi not releasing on Diwali

According to the new guidelines of Unlock 5, cinema halls, theatres, and multiplexes would be permitted to open with up to 50 percent of their seating capacity from October 15. Many films which were ready for release prior to the lockdown had to wait as cinemas were closed.

Akshay Kumar’s highly anticipated film Sooryavanshi was one of them, Makers of the film had recently announced that Sooryavanshi would release in cinema halls on Diwali. However, according to the latest update, the film still will not be released anytime soon. Sharing details, CEO of Reliance Entertainment. Shibasish Sarkar in a statement said,

“It’s not practical to release Sooryavanshi on Diwali because we don’t know whether cinemas in major states are opening yet. The state governments of Maharashtra. Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh have announced that their cinema halls will remain shut this month. So. it will be fair to assume that most states will open up only by December 1. Some films will definitely release in December. We shall watch the proceedings.” He Said.
